4 Days Rwanda Gorilla Safari and Bisoke Hike

Gorilla safari and Bisoke Hike the perfect combination for the 4 days Trip. This trip takes you to volcanoes National park. to visit and see the gorillas and also Hike Bisoke Mountain. It also offers you the opportunity to Canoe Around the Gorilla,s or visit the nearby communities or the Caves. This Rwanda Safari starts and ends at the airport in Kigali.

DAY 1: Arrival At Kigali Airport – Genocide Memorial Visits – Transfer To Kinigi / Musanze

You will be met and welcomed by a tour guide, who will brief you about your tour and later transfer you to Kigali for a city tour. If time allows, you will visit some Genocide Memorial centers in Kigali which may include Nyamata, Kigali Memorial Center and later transfer to Volcanoes National Park. The drive from Kigali to Volcanoes National Park is 3 hours and the road is Paved all the way to the starting point.

DAY 2: Gorilla Safari in Rwanda

Take a relatively early breakfast and then later assemble at Park office for registration and briefing. You will then head to the starting point of gorilla trekking in the Volcanoes National Park for your life time experience of tracking the mountain gorillas! Of course you must be well prepared with your packed lunch , trekking boots and any other equipment that you may need for the Gorilla Safari in Rwanda. Ranger guides will lead you into the forested slopes of Volcanoes National Park to guide you as you track gorillas in Africa. The time taken to search and encounter the gorillas is unpredictable however the experience after the strenuous gorilla trekking is awe-inspiring . If gorilla tracking ends early , there is an optional afternoon tour of the panoramic twin volcanic lakes of Burera and Ruhondo. Lunch, dinner, and overnight stay at your hotel.

DAY 3: Visoke /Bisoke Hike

Take breakfast and report at the Park Offices for registration and then drive to the base contours of Mt. Bisoke. Bisoke is one of the Virunga Volcanoes, that includes Mounts Karisimbi, Gahinga ,Sabyinyo, and Muhabura. It is rather a sheer climb, preeminent to cope during the short or long dry season. On top, the biggest crater lake of the Virunga chain can be seen unless there is too much fog. The track leads through bamboo forest, the habitat of mountain gorillas, giant lobelia or hagenia and alpine meadows. Picnic lunch at the summit, while viewing the beautiful Bisoke Crater Lake . Fantastic view. Then later you will descend and return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay at your hotel. This afternoon you can opt to go visit the Iby ’iwacu community for an insight into the cultures of the Rwanda people.

DAY 4: Transfer To Kigali.

After breakfast drive to Kigali. If you did not do a city tour on Day 1, you will be compensated with a city tour. Later you transfer to the Airport for your home-bound flight. End of Rwanda Safari Holiday.
